The Jackson JS Series RR Minion JS1X combines the iconic Rhoads V-style design with powerful tone and compact playability. Built with a 2/3-scale body and a 22.5-inch scale length, this guitar is a great option for younger players, traveling musicians, or anyone looking for a smaller instrument that still delivers the aggressive sound and unmistakable style Jackson is known for.
Featuring a poplar body, a bolt-on maple neck, and dual high-output Jackson humbuckers, the RR Minion JS1X is ready for everything from hard-hitting rhythm riffs to fast lead playing. Its 24 jumbo frets, sharkfin inlays, and fixed hardtail bridge add practical performance features, while the black hardware gives the guitar a sharp, stage-ready appearance.
Fast-Playing Maple Neck
The RR Minion JS1X features a bolt-on maple neck designed to provide a comfortable feel and reliable stability. Graphite reinforcement rods help maintain the neck’s structural integrity, while the 12-inch-radius amaranth fingerboard provides a smooth surface for moving between chords, riffs, and fast solos.
With 24 jumbo frets, players have plenty of room for expressive bends, vibrato, and high-register lead work. The tilt-back headstock helps maintain string tension while contributing to the guitar’s distinctive Jackson styling. Together, these features make the RR Minion JS1X an approachable instrument for developing players and experienced guitarists who prefer a compact scale.
Iconic Rhoads V Design in a Compact Size
The RR Minion JS1X brings Jackson’s recognizable Rhoads V body shape into a smaller, more portable format. Its poplar body provides a solid foundation for amplified tone, while the angular design gives it the bold appearance that has become a signature of Jackson guitars.
The combination of the pointed V-style body, black hardware, and sharkfin fingerboard inlays creates a look that stands out on stage or in a practice space. Despite its reduced size, the guitar retains the distinctive character of the full-sized Rhoads design.
Its compact dimensions also make it easier to transport, making the RR Minion JS1X a practical choice for lessons, rehearsals, travel, and everyday playing.
High-Output Humbuckers for Aggressive Sound
A pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups gives the RR Minion JS1X a powerful voice suited to rock and metal. These pickups provide the output needed for crunchy rhythm tones, thick distortion, and cutting lead sounds while maintaining a solid foundation for a variety of playing styles.
The three-way blade switch allows you to select the neck pickup, bridge pickup, or both pickups together. Individual volume and tone controls provide additional flexibility, making it easy to adjust the guitar’s output and tonal character to suit your amplifier and playing style.
Whether you’re working on heavy riffs or exploring melodic solos, the RR Minion JS1X offers a straightforward control layout that keeps tone adjustments simple.
Reliable Hardtail Bridge and Black Hardware
The string-through-body hardtail bridge features block saddles designed to provide secure string support and reliable intonation. Its fixed construction offers a stable playing platform and helps deliver consistent performance without the added adjustments associated with a tremolo system.
Black hardware, including the tuning machines, strap buttons, and control knobs, completes the guitar’s coordinated appearance. These practical appointments complement the aggressive body design while making the RR Minion JS1X suitable for regular practice, rehearsals, and live performance.
Compact Size, Classic Jackson Attitude
The Jackson JS Series RR Minion JS1X delivers the look and sound of a classic Rhoads-style guitar in a travel-friendly design. Its 22.5-inch scale length, fast maple neck, 24 jumbo frets, and high-output humbuckers make it a versatile option for players who want comfortable playability without giving up the aggressive character of a Jackson electric.
Whether you’re buying a first guitar, looking for a portable instrument, or adding a distinctive V-style model to your collection, the RR Minion JS1X offers a compelling combination of bold styling, practical features, and rock-ready tone.
