The G6134T-58 Limited Edition Penguin offers a stunning take on a classic Gretsch design. This Penguin features a chambered mahogany body with arched maple top that is gloriously adorned with the rare and unique Light Blue Pearl finish. The photos look great, but trust us when we say that this guitar looks even better in person.
The mahogany neck is quite comfortable, with the classic “C” profile, a 12″ radius and medium jumbo frets. So, it’s to bend on – this is a guitar that will be excellent for both lead and rhythm playing. And, you won’t get lost on stage, thanks to Luminlay side dots.
TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron pickups provide all the twang, growl, and power you need to cut through the mix, making this rare bird well suited for a wide range of musical styles. We’ve had these pickups in some of our Custom Shop builds, and they are definitely our favorite for a Penguin.
A ’58 Penguin wouldn’t be complete without the Bigsby tailpiece, teamed up with a Space Control bridge pinned to an ebony base. Rounding out the hardware is a set of high quality Grover Imperial tuners.
We’ve had a lot of special Gretsch Penguins here and this is surely one of the coolest. We only have one of this limited run – once it’s gone, it’s gone for good!
