For decades, our sapele/spruce Grand Auditorium 314ce has been a player favorite thanks to its workhorse utility and the rich tone of its all-solid-wood body. With our new 314ce Studio, we’ve refined the design to make it more attractively priced and given it an aesthetic refresh.
Notable distinctions include a torrefied spruce top, rounded body edges with black and white top edge trim, an all-gloss body, a nut width of 1-11/16 inches, 4mm dot fretboard inlays (Italian acrylic), a faux tortoiseshell pickguard, and the inclusion of a structured gig bag for easy portability. This Studio edition is available either with a natural or light shaded edgeburst top (the same edgeburst featured on our 50th Anniversary 314ce LTD). Like the standard 314ce, this model sports a 3-ring black rosette and Taylor nickel tuners, is voiced with our V-Class bracing, and comes with onboard ES2 electronics.
